Garner is a family oriented community with a population of over 26,000 people.  Conveniently located near the State's capitol, major road and transportation arteries, numerous universities and the world renown Research Triangle Park, Garner is a great place to live and work.
The Town of Garner has a Town Council form of government consisting of a Mayor and a five member Town Board.  Elections are held every four years for Board members and every two years for the Mayor.
Garner offers its citizens a variety of activities led by the Parks and Recreation Department.  Garner's Senior Center has received certification as a Center of Excellence.  There are twelve Town Parks to enjoy activities including walking trails, ball fields, tennis, family outings and more.
Garner is also the home of the Towne Players, a popular and excellent theater in the Triangle.  It is also only minutes away to world-class entertainment, museums, and sporting events.
